About Natalie
Growing up in a cluttered household steered my life trajectory towards professional organizing. Starting with my bedroom as a child and moving to other areas of the home as I got older – I always strived to live in a tidy environment even if it went against the grain. Because of that I also understand those who struggle with organization and I know how to help in a relatable way.
With a knack for keeping things neat and with an artistic eye, organizing and staging came naturally to me. As a teenager, family friends would ask me to rearrange their rooms and give design ideas to improve their living spaces. Interior design with functionality was my specialty, but I didn’t think to make it a profession at the time. Instead, I went to Pratt Institute for graphic design.
With my graphic design degree I eventually segued into newspaper and magazine design. The programs that I used were visually comparable to Tetris so I immediately loved it. I also had to work with every department in the company to accomplish my job of puzzle piecing the newspaper pages together. It was an ideal position for my skill sets. Being organized, methodical, personable, reliable, and efficient led me to become the manager of my department. I enjoyed my time as a graphic designer and I excelled at it, but I decided to leave for a more important role, being a stay-at-home mom.
Fast forward 15 years later and my skills were only strengthened from being a stay-at-home. I was fine-tuned by 2 kids, 6 moves, several PTA positions and a spectrum of organizational projects along the way. All of that would unknowingly come in handy for my next chapter in life. Like many, I contemplated what to do after being a stay-at-home. While helping a family member declutter and organize their garage, they suggested I do it as a profession and that lit the spark. I started working with professional organizers in NYC while accumulating my own clientele in NJ. Neat By Natalie was born and I truly take pleasure in helping my clients transform their space and transition their lives.

Do I have to clean or organize before you come?
Not at all. There’s no need to tidy up before I arrive. I’m here to help with compassion and a plan that works for you.
Will I make you get rid of things?
Never. I’ll guide you through decisions and offer suggestions, but everything stays or goes based on your comfort and priorities.
